Dinner at 大宅门

After work yesterday (17th May 2007), our boss, 翁总 brought us to 大宅门 (Da Zhai Men) to eat. Yup, it's the picture below.

This is the interior. Haha. If you are smart enough, we didn't take it at the actual place. I took it on the tissue casing. Haha. But the bottom picture is the actual interior we took. If you are wondering who is the man in the picture, he's no other than 翁总. Hee. He just cut his hair today so it is much neater then what you see in this picture. He is a GREAT man! He takes care of us really really well. Like today, just a few minutes ago, he bought us 小吃(snack) to eat. With such great boss, you should consider coming for OSIP man. Ha!

This below is the 八宝茶(Eight treasure tea) we drank yesterday. Really different from the other teas you will ever drink (at least for my case). Very sweet-flavoured. It has many surprise inside really like a treasure. Hee. I ate almost all things in the tea after I didn't wanna drink anymore.

This above is the 八宝茶 tea 'pourer'. Haha. Heard from 黄小姐 that the origin of tea pouring this way is from 四川 (Szechuan, if my spelling is correct). I'm sure y'all seen this in Singapore before. Do you know how hard it was to take this guy's photo down? All of them either come suddenly or just pour quickly. So it was hard. We actually took a photo of another chinese man in white but Wendy was so excited that she deleted it away. Anyway, we must thank 黄小姐 for this photo because she drank her tea though it was newly poured. Haha. She knew how badly we wanted this picture.

This is what we ate. Haha. Seems like we cleared almost everything. Every dishes were spicy! Haha. I thought I couldn't take it but their spiciness is very mild. Thank God! I thought at the end of the day, I would become a very red lobster. Call me no use or anything. I don't care! Haha. The food is very nice here. We ate tofu, fish head, chicken, 2 types of vege (one of it is this cucumber dish - very nice!), this pork that taste like bacon, this grass noodle which is very smooth and silky, and Mao Tse-Dong's favourite red pork and two desserts. Damn filling! Do you know that at the table, I actually said that Mao Tse-Dong was from GMD! My God! I'm like a history student and I've made that stupid comment. They said that if I were to make this comment in the past, I might be dead now. But they said that it's ok now. They found it funny, so treat it as though I wanted to make them laugh. Hee.
